About the module

This engaging MOOC module offers third-level students a dynamic exploration of integrating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 6, 7, 13, 14, and 15 into career planning and development. It inspires students to align their professional aspirations with environmentally focused SDGs, fostering a deep, contextual understanding of their interconnectedness with essential career skills. With a holistic and interdisciplinary approach, the module equips students to navigate sustainable career pathways while anticipating future trends.

The course delves into aligning SDGs with professional goals, monitoring the impact of career decisions, and adapting to the evolving job market. Employing problem-based and reflexive learning methods, it develops critical thinking, self-awareness, and the ability to incorporate sustainability values into professional life. Through an engaging case study, students create a personalised sustainability roadmap, empowering them to make meaningful career choices that contribute to global sustainability. This module prepares students to shape a sustainable future and assess the far-reaching impact of their professional journey.
