Well-Being (Goals 1,2,3,4,5,6,10,11)

About the module

Module 3 explores the concept of well-being and its interconnectedness with sustainable development, framed through key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The module highlights how holistic well-being—encompassing physical, mental, social, and economic dimensions—is essential for individual and community prosperity while supporting broader global sustainability efforts. Through this module, students will delve into SDGs that directly influence well-being, including eradicating poverty (SDG 1), achieving zero hunger (SDG 2), promoting good health and well-being (SDG 3), and ensuring access to quality education (SDG 4). Additional focus areas include gender equality (SDG 5), clean water and sanitation (SDG 6), reducing inequalities (SDG 10), and fostering sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11). The module aims to equip students with knowledge and skills to analyse well-being in a sustainable development context critically. It enables them to apply interdisciplinary approaches to real-world challenges and contribute to creating healthier, more inclusive, and resilient societies.
