This Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) is designed to strategically integrate sustainable development goals (SDGs) into higher education curricula, aligning with a broad set of objectives to enhance both teaching and learning in the context of sustainability. The course aims to empower HEI students by providing them with new knowledge and skills related to sustainable development, ensuring that these are applied alongside traditional academic content. This MOOC is for
HEI Teaching Staff/Educators with diverse academic backgrounds and varying levels of expertise in sustainability, who are seeking to enhance their teaching practices with effective, evidence-based approaches to better integrate the SDGs into their curricula.
Researchers/Academics engaged in personal research or collaborative projects, often assisting students with research and delivering lectures, who are looking to incorporate sustainability principles into their academic work and teaching.

MOOC prerequisits and requirements
The MOOC is accessible to a wide range of learners. Primarily, participants should be HEI students, educators, researchers, or administrative staff interested in sustainable development and the SDGs, but any other participants interested in the strategic inter and transdisciplinary implementation of the SDGs in HEI curricula can complete the MOOC. There is no specific prior knowledge of the SDGs required, although participants should be fluent in English, as the majority of the content and communication will occur in this language. The course is designed to be flexible, accommodating different learning styles and schedules, and can be accessed via mobile devices, tablets, or computers, making it easy for participants to engage with the content at their own pace. The MOOC is free and does not require any financial investment, ensuring that all interested individuals can participate. Additionally, as the course is modular and self-led, learners must be self-motivated and capable of managing their own learning process to fully benefit from the MOOC’s resources and peer-to-peer collaboration opportunities.
